This Homemade Vinaigrette Recipe is ready in less than five minutes and will make any boring salad taste like heaven.

  • 6 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • ¼ red onion medium, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove finely chopped
  • 1 lime juiced, lemon also works well
  • 2 teaspoons thyme fresh
  • 1 teaspoon oregano dry



  • Finely chop the red onion and garlic.

  • In a mason jar or any other jar with a lid, squeeze the lime, add the olive oil, red wine vinegar, finely chopped onion, garlic, thyme, oregano leaves, salt, etc., pepper. Alternatively, instead of using a mason jar, you can put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them with a whisk.
    6 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, 1 lime, 2 teaspoons thyme, 1 teaspoon oregano, ½ teaspoon sea salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more vinegar for acidity, extra virgin olive oil for richness.
  • Close the lid and shake for a couple of seconds.



Store in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
