    🍽 Equipment

High-powered blender to make it super creamy.

    🔪 Instructions

To make this creamy smoothie, start by washing your fresh ingredients thoroughly.

Step 1: Place all the chopped ingredients on the juicer's vase.

Step 2: Add all the smoothie ingredients into the blender, beginning with the liquids and then the solids. Blend until smooth for about 50 seconds.

    blending until creamy.

    💡 Expert Tips

First, for the smoothest texture, consider using frozen fruit; it not only chills the smoothie but also gives it a creamy consistency without needing ice. A handful of ice cubes will do the trick if you use fresh fruit and prefer a colder drink.

When it comes to sweetening your smoothie, start with a smaller amount of dates or sweetener and adjust according to taste; this way, you can control the sweetness level precisely.

For those looking to boost the protein content even further, adding a tablespoon of nut butter or a handful of spinach can enrich the smoothie without compromising the flavor. Lastly, always blend your smoothie on high for at least a minute to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined, and the texture is smooth.

    🥡 Storage

For freshness, drink your mango blueberry smoothie right after blending. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 48 hours; shake before drinking.

Remember that blueberries and mango contain pectin, which naturally thickens your smoothie over time. If you're not drinking it immediately and find it's become too thick, add a little water or more soy milk and give it a good shake before enjoying it. This will help restore it to the perfect drinking consistency.

    Meal Prep:

Prep ahead by freezing blueberries, mango, and other solids in a ziplock bag. When ready, blend with soy milk and any sweeteners. This keeps it cold and quick to make.

    ❓ FAQ

Can this smoothie serve as a meal replacement?

This smoothie is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and plant-based protein, making it a nutritious option for a light meal. However, consider adding a tablespoon of nut butter for healthy fats and a scoop of oats for complex carbohydrates for a more balanced meal replacement. These additions help create a more satisfying smoothie that can keep you full longer.

Is this smoothie suitable for kids?

Absolutely! This smoothie is a hit with kids, thanks to its sweet, fruity flavor. You might want to ensure the smoothie is well-blended to a very smooth consistency for younger palates. If your child is not used to the taste of protein powder, start with a smaller amount and gradually increase it, or choose a protein powder with a neutral flavor. Adding a natural sweetener like maple syrup can make it more appealing to kids.

How can I incorporate more greens into this smoothie without altering the taste too much?

Adding greens to your smoothie is a great way to boost its nutritional value. For a start, spinach and baby kale are excellent choices as they have a mild flavor easily masked by the sweetness of the fruits. Begin with a small handful and increase as desired. The key is to balance the flavors so that the greens taste becomes imperceptible, making your smoothie delicious and nutritious.

    Notes

Add agave or maple syrup for extra sweetness or extra dates. We like using dates because they have a ton of beneficial post-workout benefits.
